How Pricing Works

With mobile saw milling each job is vastly different so we like to visit the mill site prior to mobilization so that we can look at your logs and set up area with you. After seeing the logs and the site we will be able to give you a better estimated quantity and can quote a firm price to you for the specific size lumber & services you require. Below is a rough outline of how your job maybe estimated.

​​Board Foot Pricing

Our pricing for saw milling is based on a per board foot price. Call for current rates.

This applies when your logs are prepared and neatly stacked or lined up ready for us to pull in, set up and get right to work.  If we are responsible for stacking large material there may be an additional cost and the need for support equipment.

Hourly Pricing

Hourly pricing may apply if logs are not all located in central area or if logs are largely curved or abnormally shaped.  Call for current rates.

*Any required support equipment for example: Excavators, Skidders, Tractors or Hauling, will be charged at an hourly rate representing the IEOA Rates for Vancouver Island.*

Additional Fees

For locations outside the Southern Vancouver Island area, our typical travel fee is $1 per Km. If ferry transportation is required then the cost of the ferry will be added on to the total.

Additional fees may apply under certain circumstances such as multiple on site saw mill relocations, damaged blades due to metal strikes, additional log preparation and stacking.

If applicable, these will be discussed at the time of your site visit & will be included in your pricing estimate before commencement of work.
